Roast Persian Lamb - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 to 4 lb. leg of lamb
    6 cloves garlic, cut in half lengthways
    4 oz. butter
    2 Tbsp. tomato paste
    1 Tbsp. fresh chopped mint
    1 tsp. turmeric
    salt and pepper
    3 small onions, quarter
    3 to 4 carrots, sliced
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 450\u00b0.
    Make 12 insertions into the meat using a sharp knife and place one piece of garlic into each one.
    Put the lamb in a roasting pan.
