Corn Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 slices bacon
    1 medium onion, coarsely chopped
    2 medium potatoes, cubed
    1/2 c. water
    2 c. milk
    1 can cream-style corn
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Fry bacon.
    Crumble and set aside.
    Reserve 2 tablespoons of drippings. Saute onion in drippings until tender. Add potatoes and water.
    Cover and simmer until tender. Stir in milk, corn, salt and pepper.
    Cook over medium heat stirring frequently until thoroughly heated.
    Sprinkle with crumbled bacon.
    Serves 4 to 6.
