Grandmommy'S Sliced Cucumber Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    cucumbers, sliced (1 gal. is approximately 100 cucumbers and yields 5 to 6 pt.)
    salt
    2 onions, chopped
    1 tsp. celery seed
    1/2 tsp. turmeric
    1 Tbsp. Colman's mustard
    1 Tbsp. flour
    3 c. sugar
    1 qt. vinegar
Preparation
    To every gallon of cucumbers, add one handful of salt.
    Pour boiling water over to cover.
    Let stand overnight.
    In the morning, drain.
    Add onions.
    Mix remaining ingredients and boil them.
    Add cucumbers and onions and scald (not boil).
    Put into jars.
