Cherry-Coconut Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. flour
    1/2 c. butter
    3 Tbsp. confectioners sugar
    2 eggs, slightly beaten
    1 c. sugar
    1/4 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3/4 c. chopped nuts
    1/2 c. coconut
    1/2 c. quartered maraschino cherries
Preparation
    Heat oven to
    350\u00b0.
    Mix with hands 1 cup flour, butter and confectioners
    sugar until smooth.\tSpread thin with hands into 8 x
    8
    x 2-inch square pan.\tBake about 25 minutes. Stir all remaining
    ingredients into eggs.
    Spread over base.
    Bake about 25 minutes\tmore.
    Cool.
    Cut into bars or squares.
    For dessert, top with whipped cream and cherry.
