Aunt Ida'S Lemon Glazed Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    3 c. sifted flour
    1 c. milk
    5 beaten egg whites, reserve yolks
    1 c. butter
    3 tsp. baking powder
    2 tsp. lemon extract
Preparation
    Cream together sugar and butter.
    Sift together the flour and baking powder.
    Add to the creamed mixture alternately with the milk and extract.
    Do not beat.
    Stir well. Fold in the beaten egg whites.
    Divide batter to make 5 (9-inch) layers. Bake 20 minutes at 350\u00b0.
