Ingredients

1 c. buttermilk
1 egg
1 rounded tsp. sugar
6 tsp. oil
3/4 to 1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
Preparation

Mix together.
If you have time and energy, separate the egg; add the yolk to the mixture and lastly, fold in stiffly beaten egg white.
Bake on hot griddle.
Serves 2.
