Night Before French Toast Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (10 oz.) long thin loaf French or Italian bread, cut into 1 1/2-inch slices
    8 large eggs
    3 c. milk
    4 tsp. sugar
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
    2 Tbsp. butter
Preparation
    Use extra butter to grease a 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Arrange bread in single layer in pan.
    In a bowl, beat together all ingredients except butter.
    Pour over bread.
    Dot bread with 2 tablespoons butter.
    Cover with foil and refrigerate 4 to 36 hours.
