Molasses Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. molasses
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 tsp. salt
    1 egg
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. baking powder
    3 Tbsp. warm milk
    1/2 tsp. ginger
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 tsp. allspice
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3 c. sifted flour
Preparation
    Cream sugar and shortening.
    Add molasses; beat in egg. Add milk. Sift together
    dry
    ingredients.
    Stir into molasses mixture. Add vanilla.
    Knead
    on
    lightly
    floured board; roll out 1/4-inch thick.
    Cut and place
    on greased pan.
    Bake in a 400\u00b0 oven for 10 to 15 minutes.
