Microwave Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. white corn syrup
    1 c. raw or roasted peanuts
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    In a 1 1/2-quart casserole, stir sugar and syrup.
    Microwave on High for 4 minutes.
    Stir in peanuts; microwave on High 3 to 5 minutes until lightly brown.
    Add butter and vanilla to syrup blending well.
    Microwave on High for 2 minutes more.
    Peanuts will be lightly browned and syrup very hot.
    Add soda and gently stir until light and foamy.
    Pour mixture onto lightly greased cookie sheet.
    Cool 1/2 hour.
    When cool, break pieces and stove in a tight container.
    (If raw peanuts are used, add 1/8 teaspoon salt to sugar and syrup mixture, before microwaving.
