Chile-Rice Cheesebake(Serves 6 To 8) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. rice
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 pt. sour cream
dash of paprika
2 1/2 c. water
1 c. half and half
1/2 lb. Jack cheese, sliced
1 (4 oz.) can green chili peppers, chopped
2 Tbsp. butter
Preparation

Cook rice in water.
Saute onions in butter, remove from heat and stir in salt and half and half.
Set aside.
In a 2-quart casserole, alternate layers of rice, cheese, chilies, onion sauce and sour cream.
Sprinkle with paprika.
Bake at 325\u00b0 in preheated oven for 30 minutes.
May be made in advance and refrigerated until baking time.
