Deep Dish Apple Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    7 to 8 greening apples
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. white sugar
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 to 1 tsp. lemon rind
    1 1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    2 Tbsp. butter
Preparation
    Peel and core apples; slice thin.
    Mix next 6 ingredients and toss with apples.
    Use a homemade pie crust, or a boxed pie crust from the refrigerator case in the store (I use Pillsbury).
    Spread pie crust in large pie plate and put in half of apple mixture, compacting apples well.
    Dot with remaining butter.
    Top with other crust; slice vents in top.
    Press top crust over and under bottom; squeeze together and flute.
    Sprinkle small amount of milk on crust; spread around and sprinkle with small amount of sugar.
    Bake at 450\u00b0 for 10 minutes, then at 350\u00b0 for about 45 minutes or until done (test with fork).
