But-La-Wa - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 qt. milk
1 c. farina
1 tsp. vanilla
1/3 c. sugar
3/4 stick butter, melted
Preparation

Heat milk to hot on low flame.
Add farina.
Stir now and then. Add sugar, stirring constantly, so it doesn't stick.
Raise flame and keep stirring.
Cook 15 to 20 minutes to thicken.
When there is no milk separation, add 2 tablespoons melted butter and vanilla. Stir a couple of minutes and pour quickly into greased tray.
Pour remaining butter over the But-La-Wa and let tray stand until entirely cooled.
