6 Layer Sausage Casserole - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. pork sausage
1 1/2 c. sliced raw potatoes
1 c. raw onion, sliced
1 c. raw carrots, sliced
1/2 c. uncooked rice or spaghetti (cook ahead)
1 1/2 c. canned tomatoes
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
2 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation

Partially cook sausage and drain.
Into a 2-quart casserole bowl, put a layer of potatoes, onion, carrots, sausage, rice or spaghetti (if using spaghetti cook ahead) and tomatoes with juice. Continue until all portions are used.
Combine salt, pepper and sugar and sprinkle over top.
Cover and bake in moderate oven at 350\u00b0 for 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
Makes 6 servings.
