Caramel Nuts - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. light cream
2 Tbsp. light corn syrup
1 Tbsp. butter/margarine
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. whole pecan halves
Preparation

Combine sugars, cream and corn syrup in 1 1/2-quart saucepan. Cook to softball stage (236\u00b0).
Add butter and vanilla.
Remove from heat and cool to lukewarm (110\u00b0) without stirring.
Beat just until mixture begins to lose its gloss.
Add nuts and stir until well coated.
Turn out onto waxed paper.
Separate nuts with two forks and let cool completely.
Makes 4 cups of confection.
Store in airtight container.
