Five Hour Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. beef cubes
    1 c. chopped celery
    3 medium onions, sliced
    6 carrots, chopped
    3 c. chopped potatoes
    3 Tbsp. Minute tapioca
    1 c. tomato juice
    1 slice bread, torn
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    3 bay leaves
    1/2 tsp. salt
    pepper to taste
Preparation
    Combine beef, celery, onions, carrots, potatoes, tapioca, tomato juice, bread, sugar, bay leaves, salt and pepper in 2-quart baking dish; mix well.
    Bake at 250\u00b0 for 5 hours.
    Remove bay leaves.
    Yield:
    6 servings.
