Banana Nut Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. soft shortening
    3 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. salt
    6 Tbsp. buttermilk
    1 c. chopped pecans
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. soda
    4 eggs, separated
    2 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. mashed bananas
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar.
    Sift dry ingredients together and add alternately with beaten egg yolks and buttermilk.
    Add vanilla, bananas and nuts and fold in beaten egg whites.
    Bake in a large, greased Bundt pan at 325\u00b0.
