Ingredients

2 sticks (1 c.) butter or margarine
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp. almond extract
2 1/2 c. flour
Preparation

Cream butter.
Add sugar and beat.
Beat in egg and almond extract.
Blend in flour.
Chill dough for ease in handling.
Roll out dough to 1/8-inch thick.
Cut with floured cutters. Bake 8 to 12 minutes at 350\u00b0.
Cool and decorate with confectioners sugar frosting.
