Turnip Roots - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 turnips (roots)
1 1/2 c. water
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 c. sliced salt pork
Preparation

Slice turnips 1/4-inch thick.
Combine turnips, water, salt, pepper, sugar and salt pork in a heavy pot.
Cover and cook on high heat for 5 minutes.
Reduce heat to medium low and cook for thirty minutes or until tender.
