Stuffed Cabbage - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 large cabbage leaves
    boiling water
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1/4 c. chopped onion
    1 egg, slightly beaten
    1/4 c. milk
    1 c. soft bread crumbs
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 tsp. salt
    dash of pepper
    1/2 c. sliced onion
    2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
    1/2 tsp. sugar
    1/4 tsp. dried basil
Preparation
    Place cabbage leaves in boiling water to cover.
    Set aside. In small saucepan, melt 1 tablespoon of butter.
    Add the chopped onion and cook until golden brown.
    In a large mixing bowl, combine the browned onion, egg, milk and bread crumbs.
    Mix well and allow bread crumbs to soften, about 5 minutes.
    Stir in beef, salt and pepper and mix well.
