"Peanut Brittle" Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. butter
    1/2 c. white sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    nuts, if desired
    15 graham crackers
Preparation
    Boil butter, sugar and vanilla for 3 minutes.
    In jelly roll pan, spread whole graham crackers (not honey grahams - plain grahams) in a single layer.
    Sprinkle with chopped nuts if desired.
    Pour hot syrup over crackers.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 8 minutes.
    Remove from pan while warm.
    Store in tight tin.
    Takes 15 double graham crackers.
