Shoo-Fly Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    9-inch pastry crust (unbaked)
    3/4 c. flour
    1/2 c. packed brown sugar
    3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. ground ginger
    1/8 tsp. ground nutmeg
    3/4 c. hot water
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 c. dark molasses
    1 egg yolk, well beaten
Preparation
    Mix water and baking soda.
    Stir in molasses and egg yolk. Pour into pie crust.
    Mix flour, sugar, margarine and spices with your hands until just crumbly.
    Sprinkle mixture over filled pie crust.
    Bake in preheated 400\u00b0 oven for 15 minutes.
    Reduce oven to 325\u00b0; continue to bake until browned, about 15 minutes.
    Serve warm.
    Delicious with ice cream or whipped cream.
