Chicken And Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stewing hen (chicken)
    2 to 3 c. flour
    1/2 to 3/4 tsp. salt
    water (to make thick dough)
    pepper to taste
Preparation
    Boil stewing hen until very tender.
    Debone the chicken.
    Add water to broth to equal about 2 quarts of broth.
    Bring to simmer boil.
    Add strips of rolled dough, a few strips at a time.
    Press dough into the broth and simmer each time, adding more strips of dough.
    Cover and simmer for 1/2 hour or so, stirring occasionally.
