Texas Hash - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    2 medium onions
    1 to 2 green peppers, chopped (optional)
    1/2 Tbsp. chili powder
    2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 c. uncooked rice
    2 c. tomatoes
Preparation
    Brown beef and onions in skillet and drain.
    Add next 7 ingredients.
    Mix well.
    Pour into 2-quart casserole dish.
    Cover and bake 45 minutes or until rice is tender.
