Power Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. butter
    2 c. brown sugar
    2 c. flour
    2 c. dry oatmeal
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1 (21 oz.) can cherry pie filing
    2 Tbsp. granulated sugar
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/2 tsp. almond extract
Preparation
    In mixing bowl, beat butter and brown sugar.
    Combine flour, oats and baking soda.
    Add to sugar mixture.
    Mix on low speed until crumbly.
    Press 2/3 mixture into jelly roll pan to form crust.
