Sweet Potato Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. sweet potatoes, cooked and mashed
1/2 c. white sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 c. milk
1 egg, beaten
1/2 c. butter, melted
1 unbaked pie shell
meringue
Preparation
-
Combine dry ingredients and mix with sweet potatoes.
Add milk, egg and butter.
Pour into unbaked pie shell.
Bake at 450\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
Reduce temperature to 350\u00b0 and bake an additional 30 minutes or until inserted silver knife comes out clean.
Cover top with meringue, if desired.
Serves 6.
