Rum Balls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. crushed vanilla wafers (about 1 box)
    1 c. sifted confectioners sugar
    2 Tbsp. cocoa powder
    1/2 c. chopped nuts (optional)
    1/4 c. rum or brandy
    1/4 c. corn syrup
Preparation
    Combine dry ingredients and mix by hand.
    Add water, about 1 1/2 tablespoons, if necessary.
    Form into 3/4-inch balls and roll in granular sugar.
    Sugar can be colored for the holidays.
    Store in sealed containers so the rum does not evaporate.
