Lisa'S Vegetable Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 carrot, diced
    3 stalks celery, diced
    2 small sweet potatoes, diced
    16 oz. frozen corn
    2 Tbsp. butter
    2 tsp. thyme
    2 bay leaves
    6 c. (3 cans) low sodium chicken broth
Preparation
    Saute vegetables in butter with thyme and bay leaves until tender (approximately 10 minutes).
    Add chicken broth; simmer 45 minutes.
    Remove bay leaves.
    Remove 2 1/2 cups and puree in blender.
    Hold hand firmly on top of blender when blender is turned on or let the 2 1/2 cups of the mixture cool down!
    Enjoy.
