Potato Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 good sized potatoes
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1 egg
    1 pt. sweet milk
    1/2 c. yeast
Preparation
    Boil six good sized potatoes with their jackets on.
    Take them out with a skimmer.
    Drain and squeeze with a towel to ensure being dry.
    Remove skin and mash them perfectly free from lumps. Add a tablespoon of butter, one egg and a pint of sweet milk. When cool, beat in half cup yeast.
    Put in just enough flour to make a stiff dough.
    When the mixture rises, make into small cakes.
    Let them rise the same as biscuits.
    Bake to a delicate brown.
    This dough is
    very fine dropped into meat soups or pot pies.
