Grannie'S Peanut Butter Caramel Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. Crisco shortening
    2 - 1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3 c. sifted plain flour
    1 c. buttermilk
    6 eggs
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp salt
Preparation
    Blend Crisco until creamy.
    Add sugar.
    When well mixed, begin adding eggs, one at a time, mix well.
    Blend together flour, baking powder; set aside.
    Add to egg mixture 1 cup flour mix at a time, alternating with buttermilk until all has been added.
    Add vanilla and salt.
    Mix only until combined.
    Do not over beat. Line 5 greased and floured pans with wax paper.
    Put 8 - 9 tablespoons of batter in each pan.
    (Very tiny layers are what makes this cake special.)
    Bake at 400 degrees until done.
    WATCH CAREFULLY, takes only 6 - 10 minutes.
