Cardamom Bread(Kardemonmme Brod) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. milk
    1/2 tsp. crushed cardamom
    1/2 c. butter
    3/4 c. sugar
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1 egg
    2 pkg. yeast
    4 to 5 c. flour
Preparation
    Scald milk over low heat; add cardamom.
    Remove from heat; pour into a large mixing bowl.
    Add butter and stir until melted. Stir in sugar and salt.
    Beat in egg.
    Blend yeast with 2 cups flour in small bowl.
    Add milk mixture and beat well (about 3 minutes).
    Gradually add enough additional flour to make a firm, but soft dough.
    Knead 5 to 8 minutes on a lightly floured surface.
    Round up in greased bowl and let rise in warm place, 45 to 75 minutes.
    Divide dough and shape into two loaves.
