Hot Buttered Rum - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. butter
    pinch of salt
    3 sticks cinnamon
    6 whole cloves
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    2 qt. hot water
    2 to 3 c. rum
Preparation
    Put all ingredients in crock-pot.
    Stir well.
    Cover and cook on high for 2 hours, then turn to low for 3 to 10 hours.
    Serve warm from crock-pot.
