Calico Mold - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 envelope unflavored gelatin
    1 c. cold water
    1 c. sour cream
    2 c. grated sharp cheese
    4 oz. diced Ortega chilies, drained
    2 Tbsp. chopped pimientos
    2 Tbsp. chopped black olives
    1 Tbsp. finely chopped onion
    garlic to taste
Preparation
    In a small saucepan, sprinkle gelatin over cold water.
    Let stand 3 to 4 minutes.
    Stir over low heat to dissolve gelatin; set aside.
    In a medium bowl, combine all other ingredients. Gradually stir in gelatin.
    Refrigerate 30 to 45 minutes, until mixture mounds.
    Stir well.
    Spoon into a 4-cup mold.
    Refrigerate 4 to 6 hours.
    Unmold by dipping in hot water and inverting on platter.
    Surround by chips and crackers.
