Marinated Flank Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. flank steak
    1/4 c. soy sauce
    1/4 c. vegetable oil
    2 Tbsp. vinegar
    2 Tbsp. sugar or honey
    1 Tbsp. grated fresh ginger root or 1 tsp. ground ginger
Preparation
    Score one side of the steak by making shallow cuts in a crisscross pattern.
    Place meat in a shallow dish or plastic bag. Combine soy sauce, oil, vinegar, sugar and ginger; pour over meat. Cover and refrigerate for 1 to 3 days or at room temperature for up to 3 hours.
    Remove meat from marinade and broil or grill for 4 to 5 minutes on each side.
    Slice thinly at an angle across the grain.
    Serve hot or cold.
    Makes 4 servings.
