Maple Walnut Squash Puree - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 c. cubed, peeled squash
    3 Tbsp. butter
    3 Tbsp. maple syrup
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg and pepper
    1/4 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation
    In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook squash for 25 minutes, or until tender; drain.
    Puree in blender, or by hand, until smooth.
    Blend in maple syrup, butter, salt, nutmeg and pepper.
    Spoon into shallow, greased 8-cup casserole or baking dish.
    Bake at 400\u00b0
    for 25 minutes.
    Serve immediately garnished with walnuts.
