Spinach Fandango(Serves 4 To 6) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 to 2 lb. ground meat (beef, turkey, game)
1 medium onion, chopped
2 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen chopped spinach
1 to 2 lb. fresh mushrooms, thickly sliced
1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
16 oz. sour cream
1 lb. Jack cheese (1/2 grated, 1/2 thinly sliced)
salt, pepper, garlic powder or fresh garlic to taste
Preparation

Brown meat, onion and seasonings in large frying pan.
Add frozen spinach.
Cover and cook (checking and stirring now and then) until tender spinach is thawed.
While spinach is thawing, saute mushrooms in butter or margarine until tender-crisp.
Add to spinach mixture and drain well in colander.
In a large bowl, combine sour cream, spinach mixture and grated cheese.
Mix well. Place in 9 x 14-inch baking dish and cover with sliced cheese. Bake at 250\u00b0 to 300\u00b0 in conventional oven or on High in microwave until cheese is melted and dish is heated through.
Can be served as a main dish with salad and bread or as a side dish with fish.
