Butterscotch Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. brown sugar
    6 Tbsp. butter
    8 Tbsp. cream
    2 c. milk
    6 Tbsp. cornstarch
    4 eggs (yolks)
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cook brown sugar, cream and butter in heavy skillet until thick and brown.
    Mix together well the milk, cornstarch and egg yolks. Add to sugar mixture, stirring constantly.
    Cook until thick.
    Add vanilla.
    Pour into baked pie shell.
    Top with meringue or Cool Whip.
