My Favorite Chocolate Cake Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. all-purpose flour
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. buttermilk
1/2 c. Crisco
1/4 c. cocoa
1 stick margarine
2 eggs
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. water

Preparation

Combine the flour, sugar, soda and salt.
In a saucepan, bring to a boil Crisco, cocoa, margarine and water.
Pour hot mixture into flour-sugar combination.
Add eggs, buttermilk and vanilla. Beat and pour into cookie sheet with sides (7 x 11-inch).
Bake at 400\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
In the meantime mix icing.
