Chocolate Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 egg
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. milk with 1 tsp. soda stirred in
    1 1/2 c. sifted flour
    1/3 c. cocoa or carob powder
    1 c. white sugar
    1/2 c. melted shortening or cooking oil
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Beat first 6 ingredients together.
    Add shortening or oil and vanilla and beat well.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
