Pennsylvania Dutch Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. oatmeal
    1 c. bran
    1 Tbsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1 c. raisins
    3 c. boiling water
    1 c. warm water
    2 pkg. dry yeast
    1 c. molasses
    4 1/2 to 5 c. unbleached white flour
Preparation
    Combine the first 6 ingredients in a large bowl; let cool, then add the yeast which has been dissolved in warm water.
    Stir in molasses.
    Beat vigorously.
    Add enough flour to make a stiff dough.
    Knead for several minutes.
    Place dough in a greased bowl and allow to rise in a warm place until doubled.
    Punch down and let rise again until doubled.
    Punch down and form into 3 medium loaves.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 45 minutes.
