Syrup Tea Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. syrup (any kind)
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 c. butter flavored Crisco
    2 eggs, beaten
    5 c. plain flour
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. vanilla
    cinnamon or ginger to taste (optional)
Preparation
    Bring syrup, sugar and shortening to a boil.
    Add remaining ingredients.
    Drop by teaspoonfuls onto waxed paper-lined pan and bake at 350\u00b0 until light brown.
