Banana Cakesante Fe, New Mexico - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 c. butter
1/3 c. sugar
2 eggs, slightly beaten
2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/3 c. buttermilk
1 c. mashed banana
1 tsp. vanilla
1/3 c. crushed corn flakes
1/4 c. sugar
1 Tbsp. soft butter
1/4 c. chopped walnuts

Preparation

Cream butter and sugar, add eggs and beat thoroughly.
Sift together flour, soda, salt and nutmeg.
Stir into creamed mixture. Stir in buttermilk, bananas and vanilla.
Spread in greased pan. Sprinkle with topping:
Corn flakes, sugar, butter and nuts.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
