Fudge Krispies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. chocolate chips
    1/2 c. margarine or butter
    1/2 c. light corn syrup
    2 tsp. vanilla extract
    4 c. powdered sugar
    4 c. Kellogg's Rice Krispies
Preparation
    Combine chocolate chips, margarine and corn syrup in a saucepan.
    Cook and stir over low heat until melted and smooth. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and sugar.
    Add the Rice Krispies cereal, mixing lightly until well coated.
    Spread evenly in a 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
    Chill until firm.
    Cut in 1 1/2-inch squares.
    Store in the refrigerator.
    Makes 48 squares.
