Puffy Fried Shrimp - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. all-purpose flour
    3/4 c. water
    2 tsp. shortening, melted
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    2 egg whites, stiffly beaten
    1 1/2 lb. medium or large fresh shrimp, peeled and deveined
    hot vegetable oil
Preparation
    Fold flour, water, shortening, salt and pepper into egg whites.
    Dip shrimp in mixture and fry in deep hot oil until golden.
