Black Walnut Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. butter
    2 c. flour
    1 extra large egg
    1 tsp. vanilla
    4 oz. black walnuts
Preparation
    In food processor, combine sugar and egg; process for 1 minute.
    Add butter and vanilla; process for 1 minute.
    Add flour; process for 20 seconds, until flour is mixed.
    Add walnuts and pulse.
    Do not over process.
    Roll dough into 3 cylinders, 1 1/2 to 2 inches wide.
    Chill for about 1 hour, then slice into 1/4-inch thick pieces.
    Bake in preheated 350\u00b0 oven for 10 to 12 minutes.
    Makes 6 dozen.
