Ingredients

2 sticks oleo (soft)
3/4 c. sugar
3/4 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
1 heaping tsp. baking powder
2 Tbsp. warm water
3 c. flour
1 c. chopped pecans
1 (12 oz.) bag semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preparation

Mix oleo, sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla with electric mixer until creamy.
Add salt, soda, baking powder and water (*Note:
pour water directly on top of baking powder) and stir by hand.
Add flour one cup at a time and mix well by hand.
Add chocolate chips and nuts to mixture.
Drop by teaspoonfuls on cookie sheet and bake at 350\u00b0 for 5 to 7 minutes or until lightly brown on top.
