Cream Cheese Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 1/2 c. sugar
2 c. shortening
2 small pkg. cream cheese
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. baking powder
2 1/3 c. flour
maraschino cherries

Preparation

Mix above ingredients in a large bowl until well blended (except cherries).
Drop by teaspoon onto cookie sheet.
In the center of each cookie, place a cherry.
Bake 8 to 10 minutes at 350\u00b0 or until lightly browned.
