Nut Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1 3/4 tsp. baking powder
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1 1/4 c. sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    3/4 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 eggs
    1 c. finely chopped black walnuts or nuts of choice
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Have shortening at room temperature. Grease and flour loaf pan or muffin tins.
    Sift flour before measuring.
    Mash shortening and sift in dry ingredients.
    Add vanilla and 3/4 milk.
    Mix until flour is dampened, then beat 2 minutes.
    Add remaining milk and eggs.
    Beat 1 minute.
    Add nuts and bake 1 hour for loaf pan or 20 to 30 minutes for muffin tins.
