Polish Bread(Babka) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

5 lb. flour
3 yeast cakes
1 1/2 Tbsp. salt
1 qt. + 1 c. milk
3 whole eggs + 7 yolks
3/4 c. sugar
1 box raisins
1 lb. butter
Preparation

Scald milk.
Pour over sugar and butter.
Cool.
Dissolve yeast cake in 1/3 cup warm water.
Add this to the milk mixture. Add the flour and mix this well.
Add salt to eggs and beat until thick.
Add to mixture and mix this good.
Knead for 20 to 30 minutes.
Cover and let rise 3 to 4 hours at room temperature. Punch down and put in loaf pans and let rise again about 1 hour. Bake at 325\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
