Dumplings(Norwegian) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 large potatoes, grated (raw)
    5 large potatoes, boiled and mashed
    2 eggs, beaten
    flour
    water
    bacon
    onion
Preparation
    Mix potatoes and eggs with enough flour to hold together large dumplings.
    Drop in boiling salted water.
    Cook until done, about 30 to 40 minutes.
    Cut up several slices of bacon into small squares.
    Add a large onion (diced) and fry until onion is tender. Thoroughly coat dumplings in this mixture and fry lightly until brown.
    I use some butter to fry onions in until transparent.
    Pour over the dumplings; this is good.
    I don't use bacon grease.
    Pour that off.
