White Bridal Cake - cooking recipe

1/2 c. soft shortening
4 egg whites
2 1/2 c. sifted cake flour
4 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. milk
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Step 1:
Line bottoms of two heart shaped or round 9-inch pans with waxed paper.
Put shortening in large mixer bowl and beat well.
Sift in the flour, baking powder, sugar and salt.
Add 2/3 of the milk and vanilla. Beat 2 minutes at medium speed, scraping bowl and beaters often.
